What we do

The PTSA connects families and faculty.
The PTA is a not-for-profit organization and is the nation's original parent involvement group in schools. There are 23,000 local units and nearly 6 million members.  At Westlake High School, the PTSA  brings programs and materials to our classrooms and helps strengthen parent and student involvement.

The Warriors Wishes Fundraising campaign is also managed by the PTSA.  Over the last few years we have helped support many important programs including  classroom wish lists like English class novels, graphing calculators, a digital flex camera, music stands, computers and computer monitors, mobile marine lab instruction and vocabulary toolkits.

All WHS students are encouraged to join the Student PTSA club, which is a part of the parent organization. It provides many opportunities for students to work as a team, become leaders and responsible adults. The students meet once a month and are involved in community service such as: Toys for Tots, Manna, and various projects around campus including  Red Ribbon week.
